Our Executive Committee provides oversight of our BLL strategy, with our BLL Steering Committee meeting quarterly to provide governance and ensure our strategy and objectives are successfully implemented within an appropriate risk framework. Our CEO chairs the Committee, which is made up of senior leaders from across all business functions, therefore embedding sustainability as a golden thread throughout Telford Homes.
The Steering Committee is supported by BLL departmental Champions, who participate in various company forums, providing focus to particular workstreams that are cascaded from our BLL Steering Committee. We have implemented a new monthly ‘Telford Talks’ communication initiative where business updates are broadcast live to all our employees. This provides an ideal platform to keep the business informed on our BLL progress and has enabled us to extend invitations to third party experts to share knowledge and inform our thought-leadership, including the NextGeneration secretariat (JLL) and representatives from the Future Homes Hub. This approach complements the sustainability roadmap goals that are cascaded within all staff performance development reviews, which link to appraisals and remuneration.
